April 2024 - Revolutionizing Energy Efficiency: TFS and Mersen Partner for Heat Capture System Advancement

Thermal Fluid Systems Ltd along with its sister company PTSC have been at the forefront of energy transfer systems to aid production developments in industrial “Circular Economy” (CE) these include.

🔌 Electrification of thermal heat transfer systems to replace fossil-fired plants, reducing carbon footprint while boosting efficiency.

♻️ Development of cutting-edge process systems enabling the conversion of mixed plastic waste into valuable products, contributing to waste reduction and resource utilization.

🔄 Implementation of "Circular Production," a key element of CE, designed to reintegrate manufacturing waste back into the production cycle for enhanced resource efficiency.

⚡️ Enhancing production energy efficiency through the adoption of state-of-the-art process technologies, paving the way for greener operations and a more sustainable future.

Our specialized thermal fluid system design serves as the linchpin, enabling high-temperature, low-pressure operations through single-phase heat transfer.

In December 2023 Thermal Fluid Systems Ltd (TFS) was awarded a Design, Supply, Install and Commission contract from Mersen UK www. https://www.mersen.co.uk to support their "Circular Production" process ambitions.

By harnessing waste byproduct heat from Mersen's technology leading graphite insulation materials manufacturing stream and utilising this captured energy elsewhere in the production process, TFS will be reducing the need for traditional gas firing by up to 1.6MW resulting in potential annual CO2 saving of 6,300 tonnes!

The fully automated system being supplied by TFS will manage and control plant wide concurrent variations in heat capture and distribution, ensuring Mersen’s continued increase of production of their high-quality world leading technology materials, creating significant benefits in its commitment to a sustainable CO2 production footprint.

April 2024 - TFS’ Sister company PTSC partner with De Dietrich Process systems US to demonstrate innovative batch reactor design capabilities

The chemical industry has utilized the same, traditional batch reactor technology for decades, with minimal advancements made to most processes during this time period.  Learn how the new “optimized throughput” batch reactor technology can massively benefit productivity, quality and energy efficiency at production scale, especially within the fine and specialty chemical segments.

What will you learn?
Overturning long held assumptions on the capabilities possible with batch reactor production systems.

Who should attend this webinar?

Anyone who has an interest in learning about the substantial improvement to their chemistry output possible through technology changes from that of traditional batch reactors; without having to transition to radical process change such as Flow Chemistry.

July 2022 - TFS Supplied the TCU for worlds largest back to back Glass Lined Batch Reactor Performance Test

Thermal Fluid Systems Ltd designed, manufactured and commissioned a bespoke TCU for an industrial test between an existing glass lined batch reactor and a next generation, super fast, super efficient batch reactor called the PI QFlux, which was designed by our sister company PTSC Ltd (www.ptscltd.co.uk)

The TCU is a key enabling part of the PI QFlux Technology as it provides the reactor with two mechanically and thermodynamically independent thermal fluid streams for heat transfer. The TCU operated both the conventional batch reactor and the PI QFlux so that all services to the two units were identical. The TCU was supplied with a PLC control package which recorded over 750,000 data points during the test period

The performance data confirmed that the PI QFlux has 4 times greater heat flux and 50% fuel savings compared to current existing technology

Kobelco Eco Solutions (KES) were key partners in the development of this technology and provided a purpose built test centre in which the testing took place
